Please note the following checklist of requirements needed to gain APPROVAL to work at the INEOS Nitriles USA LLC site located in Port Lavaca:
STEP 1: Complete the required safety training -The completion of all three training courses below are required for all contractors who are performing work at the Green Lake Facility.
- Basic Orientation Plus or Safety Essential. The Safety Essentials courses have the same information as the Basic Orientation Plus, but much shorter. SE Initial (3 hrs.) and SE Refresher 1 ½ hrs.) vs. BOP Initial (6 ½ hrs.) and BOP Refresher (2 ½ hrs.)
- INEOS Green Lake Nitriles Site-Specific Orientation (Code: 06INEOS)
- INEOS Green Lake Nitriles Permitting (Code: 06INEOS). Contractors who perform work/job tasks that do not require a Permit To Work (PTW) such as Janitorial/Housekeeping and/or Office Administrating/Managing (e.g., timekeeping, payroll, personal record keeping, delegating tasks to junior employees) are not required to complete INEOS Green Lake Permitting (06INEOSP).
- Options for Completing Health & Safety Council (HASC) Training: All three training courses listed above can be completed at any HASC Centers or online 24/7. If assistance is needed, please contact HASC by phone (888) 955-SAFE or by email: customerservice@hasc.com
- Training at HASC Campuses:
- Hours of Operations and Last Check-In time varies for each center. Please click this HASC™ Campuses link to contact center near you for needed information.
- Training Online:
- You must have a HASC ID and any of the following payment methods.
- Contractor’s company P.O. Number
- Contractor’s company or personal Credit Card
- Contractors will need a username and password.
- To register and take the online proctored training click this link HASC™ Training and Select "Course Catalog" to complete required training courses.
STEP 2: A valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
STEP 3: Approved status on ISNetworld (www.ISNetworld.com) specific to INEOS Green Lake. All Contractors and Subcontractors must be approved on ISNetworld.com
STEP 4: Understand and Comply with INEOS GROUP Life Saving Rules & 20 Safety Principles
- INEOS GROUP LIFE SAVING RULES
- No consumption or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs on company property.
- No smoking outside dedicated smoking areas.
- No work on live equipment/machines to commence without authorization.
- Safety critical devices/interlocks must not be disabled or overridden without authorization.
- Persons working at heights must use proper fall protection.
- No entry to confined space without authorization and gas test.
- Lifting & hoisting - no unauthorized person to enter the defined danger zone where objects can fall.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Ineos Job Representative and Contractor Representative:
- The INEOS Job Representative is the contact person for all job scope and safety information needed for the work/job tasks being performed.
- The INEOS Job Representative will go over the job scope and safety information before work/job tasks is performed.
- The INEOS Job Representative and the Contractor Representative will need to ensure that all requirements below are met before arriving on date in which work/job tasks are to start.
